      ANTAL KOV CSAntal Kov cs was born on 6th June 1940 in Budapest He left Hungary in 1956 Based in London, he worked as an assistant director on feature films also as film editor, scriptwriter, and director for television and corporate films Between 1970 and 1972 he lived in Sydney, Australia where he worked as a film editor and director on commercials and industrial documentaries He won an award at the Sydney and Melbourne Film Festival in 1971 for his theatrical short The Samaritan Kind In 1972 he returned to London and carried on working in the film industry January 1990 he moved to France He lived in Narbonne for two years, then six months in Rome During this period, he started writing novels and film scripts At the end of 1992 he returned to England and carried on working as a film editor He also lectured on film editing at the London International Film School He left London for Cornwall in 1997 and lectured on scriptwriting and television production at Penwith College, Cornwall College and Falmouth College of Arts In 2002 he wrote and directed the first Cornish language feature film, Hwerow Hweg, which was premiered in the House of Commons The film was shown at the Montreal World Film Festival in 2002 It was also shown at the Celtic Film Festivals in Quimper in 2002 and Belfast in 2004 In 2003 it was Cornwall s entry for the Celtic Film and Television Festival in Truro In 2004 Bitter Sweet the English version opened the International Film Festival, Vilnius Spring In 2006 he published his novel, Impressions, in collaboration with Athena Press The book is still in print and available on He moved to Italy in 2007 where he lived for four years, and wrote The Wines of Umbria, a definitive guide, which is available on Kindle In 2011 he returned to Penzance, where he now lives In 2013 Endeavour Press published his thriller A Matter of Theft Then a couple of months later they also published his second work The Order They are available on both as paperbacks and e books for Kindle.
